Kotoso ITP Pre-launch
In partnership with Ocean Network Express (ONE) the netcycle team commemorated this year’s World Water Day in Kotoso, one of our first iTPs. This was also a pre-launch engagement which was held at the Kotoso D/A Basic school.
The NetCYCLE and Ocean Network team together with teachers and students planted trees around the school to mark the day.
The netcycle team educated the students and teachers on the theme of the day “Groundwater” and the effects plastic pollution has on the groundwater.
They were also informed about the project “NetCYCLE” , what it seeks to achieve and why they should be a part of the project.
The team moved to the market square to further engage with traders, fishermen, fishmongers and the locals to sensitize them about the effect of plastic pollution and to tell them about the project.
